Staff selection Commission is the organization which conduct the SSC CHSL exam all over India.
Application form –
Application forms for this vacancy will be filled online . Application forms will remain 9th May 2023 to 8th June 2023 . Rs 100 /- fees have been fixed for the general candidate to fill the application form .There is no application fees for Women / SC / ST candidate .
Mode and Language of examination –
For this recruitment , the exam will be conducted both online and offline . Both Hindi and English languages can be used in SSC CHSL exam.

Selection process –
The selection process of SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) exam consists of three stages:
- Tier-I: Computer Based Examination (Objective type)
- Tier-II: Descriptive Paper (Pen and Paper mode)
- Tier-III: Skill Test/Typing Test (wherever applicable)
Candidates who qualify in Tier-I will be eligible to appear for Tier-II. The final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in Tier-II, subject to their qualifying in Tier-III.
Here’s a brief overview of the selection process for SSC CHSL:
- Tier-I: Computer Based Examination (Objective type) This stage consists of a computer-based examination that comprises four sections – General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. The exam is of 200 marks, and candidates have 60 minutes to complete it. There is negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
- Tier-II: Descriptive Paper (Pen and Paper mode) This stage is a descriptive paper that tests a candidate’s writing skills. It comprises an essay of 200-250 words and a letter or application of approximately 150-200 words. The exam is of 100 marks and the time duration is 60 minutes. Candidates who score above the cut-off marks in Tier-II will be shortlisted for Tier-III.
- Tier-III: Skill Test/Typing Test (wherever applicable) This stage comprises a skill test or typing test, depending on the job requirement. The skill test is for Data Entry Operator (DEO) post while the typing test is for the Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) posts. The skill test is conducted for 15 minutes, and the typing test is for 10 minutes. Candidates who qualify in Tier-III will be eligible for the final selection.
Based on the combined scores of Tier-I and Tier-II, candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-III. The final selection will be based on the combined scores of Tier-II and Tier-III.

The duration of SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) exam is 1 hour (60 minutes) for the Tier 1 exam. Information about salary-
The basic pay for the posts of LDC and Postal Assistant is Rs. 19,900 per month, while the basic pay for the post of DEO is Rs. 25,500 per month. The Court Clerk is placed in the Pay Band 1 with a salary of Rs. 19,900 per month.
Apart from the basic pay, there are various other allowances and benefits that are provided to the employees such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, Medical Allowance, etc.
